LTSpice is a freeware computer software based on SPICE (Simulation Program with Integrated Circuit Emphasis). It was developed by Analog Devices. It is one of the most widely used SPICE software available on the internet. But what is SPICE? Spice is open-source software that is used to simulate electronic circuits. It checks the integrity and the design of the electronic circuit. LTSpice is used by many people across many different fields and areas such as radiofrequency and electronics. How to Use LTSpice?

In order to create a new simulation, you need to tap on the new schematic button and from there you can begin your work by adding or removing whatever elements you like.

Locating the library directory

In case of Windows installation of LTspice XVII; usually the library directory is located inside of LTspice folder in 'My Documents' directory.After opening the LTspice folder you will have to open 'lib' folder.
This directory represents the library location composed of 'cmp', 'sub' and 'sym' folders.
*'sub' folder represents the location of subcircuit files.
*'sym' folder represents the locaiton of symbol files.

These are the folders in which you will have to transfer the library files you are interested in.
.lib and .sub files are supposed to be copied in 'sub' folder, .asy files are supposed to be copied in 'sym' folder.
